About this deal

As far as performance goes, the appliance heats in around 45 seconds and can operate for up to 50 minutes, which is long enough to iron and de-wrinkle a good pile of clothes. The ergonomic design and handy wheels on the bottom of the steamer add to the convenience of use, making it very manoeuvrable. Plus, you get a 1.7-m power cord, enabling you to easily handle the device without restricting your movement. And to make the steamer safe to use, the model is featured with an automatic shut down. Please note some larger products are delivered to kerb-side (the street outside your home), it is at the drivers discretion if they can deliver the item to another location on the property.

Cost Efficient. A steam cleaner might be initially more expensive than other cleaning products, but once you’ve bought it the running costs are low. Aside from electricity, you don’t need to buy additional products or replacement chemicals. Convenient to Use. As handheld cleaners can be held in one hand, they are easy to use for cleaning awkward locations. They are also lightweight. If you want to make a good impression on everyone, a rule of thumb is to wear neat and clean clothes. With that in mind, the market provides many good household appliances, with a garment steamer being one of them. As the name suggests, a garment steamer is designed to fight wrinkles and refresh clothes by treating them with hot steam. Unlike conventional irons that work from the mains, fabric steamers are more convenient to operate, weigh less (on average), and offer better manoeuvrability. Plus, as they use steam, there's almost no risk of damaging clothes, even if your wardrobe contains mostly silk and fabric dresses.

The compact size of a handheld steamer is a downside as well as an advantage. This is because the concentrated steam nozzle is impractical for cleaning large areas of floor. While a handheld model is convenient for spot cleaning, they aren’t designed for cleaning an entire carpet or stairs. The original Oculus Quest included a long Link-compatible USB C to C cable in the box. The Quest 2, however, does not come with a cable that is an appropriate length for Link — you’ll need to buy one.

The folder you’re taken to is the home of key files that allow the Oculus PC app to operate properly, but we’re going to need to change some around. Tank capacity is also important. The bigger it is the more time you will be able to iron without having to refill it. On average, tank capacity featured on garment steamers varies from 200 ml up to 2 litres. Whether you need a steamer for home use or you're looking for a portable thing suitable for travel as well, the market offers multiple options to choose from. Like we said before, the steaming time is linked to capacity.Regardless of what cable and adapters you use, make sure they’re from reliable brands — we’ve found Oculus Link can act a bit funny when you’re using less reliable equipment. Still, what sells the product first and foremost is not that. What sells it is the Press & Steam feature. Technically speaking, this is less of a feature and more of a vertical support panel. Patented by Tefal, this panel provides a convenient flat surface, enabling effortless one-handed steaming and ensuring consistent results. In terms of cleaning performance, the Hoover does a good job – although don’t expect it to match full-size steamers. It’s great for simple tasks, but struggles on tougher grime and dirt. We also wish it had a trigger control, rather than a thumb button. If you’re having trouble or need greater explanation, we have a separate guide with more detail on setting up and using Air Link here. Virtual Desktop Setup Finally, battery life is anywhere from an hour and a half to just over two hours. It’s not a lot, and Meta offers an extra battery, but as someone who enjoys VR sessions in bursts, it felt like just the right amount for me. With huge RPGs like Asgard’s Wrath 2 on the way that’ll no doubt feel like huge time-sinks, you may want to consider that extra power option, though. Meta Quest 3: Software and games

Environmentally Friendly and Chemical-Free. Steam cleaners are a great way to clean your home without using harsh chemicals. As they only use hot steam to kill germs and remove dirt, they are also environmentally friendly. For Oculus Link, you’ll need a USB-C cable to connect your Quest to your computer. The benefit of using a wired connection is reliability. The wireless connections — Air Link and Virtual Desktop — can be less reliable, depending on your conditions. Next, enable Air Link on the Quest 3 headset by putting on your headset: Go to ‘Settings’>‘Experimental Features’. First of all, you’ll need an AC or AX router with a 5Ghz network for good performance, with your PC connected via Ethernet. Meta warns that mesh wifi networks or computers connected wirelessly are known to cause performance problems. The PIRATECH Portable Clothes Steamer is everything that the name suggests and then some, for good measure. Measuring 26.6 x 24.8 x 13.7 centimetres and reaching 1.2 kilogrammes on the weight scales, the model is not necessarily as lean as the previous handheld steamers that we've reviewed above and not quite as lightweight. Nevertheless, this steamer can still make the portable claim. Whilst its footprint is not very modest, neither are the model's specs. Make sure to enable developer mode on your Quest 3! This must be done through your Meta Quest mobile app. First things first, this model is distinguished by 1600W of power output. It doesn't heat up faster than its less powerful competition, requiring the same 40-45 seconds, but it does produce more steam (30g/m) and offers around 10 minutes of continuous heat time, which makes it suitable for a wider range of ironing tasks, including touching last-minute details, sprucing up your tees and shirts, as well as refreshing upholstery and curtains.

While the manufacturer claims it can provide steam for up to 20 minutes, the reality is that it’s unlikely to last this long. The manual also claims that the water tank is 350ml, but it’s recommended that you only actually fill it to 250ml.

Underneath the headset, you’ll find a wheel to adjust focus, while there’s also a volume button. The power button is just under the USB-C charging port on the left-hand side. Air Link allows you to play SteamVR games on your Quest 3 through WiFi, as long as you have a powerful (5Ghz) router that’s in close proximity to your headset (ideally in the same room). While it’s not getting any younger, consider the Meta Quest 2 as an affordable introduction to the magic of VR that offers a lot of what its successor does. Its controllers are bulkier and that screen door effect is worse, but other than that, it remains an excellent headset.
